Dreams
My name is Claire Lutz and I have been Kiteboarding since the summer of 2008. I moved to Cape Hatteras, NC to pursue my dreams to become a kiteboarder.
Before I could Kiteboard I would spend all my spare time reading every Kiteboarding magazine I could get my hands on, saved every penny I had and dreamt of the day I would learn to Kite. By the time I saved up enough cash I was on my way to REAL Watersports to get my first lessons, and ended up never leaving.
After spending two seasons at REAL I decided it was time to venture out and explore the kiteboarding world. I then began to take several trips throughout the winter to places like, Utah, Oregon, Maui, Mexico, Dominican Republic, The Bahamas and various other places. Kiteboarding took me to places I never dreamed of visiting! I then settled in Hood River, Oregon for another two kiteboarding seasons to work on my trade, “Rails.” Oregon is by far my favorite place in the world but I had a feeling it was time to move on.
I am now settled in Orlando, FL kiting and cable wakeboarding. I went to Orlando on vacation and loved cable wakeboarding so much that I had to stay. Now I am working on being a pro kiteboarder and hopefully a respected cable wakeboarder one day! In the future I plan on opening my own bar and continuing my love for kiting and wakeboarding.
